Where the internet’s people stand
The public’s standing for every creator, journalist and public figure. One record each, across every platform — 456 records on the register so far, and anyone can add the next person.
Founded 2026Why we built this
Follower counts tell you how many people watch someone. They don’t tell you what those people think of them. A creator with ten million subscribers can be loved, tolerated or quietly distrusted, and today the only way to find out is to read the comments, which the creator controls, on one platform at a time.
Internet Standing is one public record for each person, across every platform they are on. The public rates them from one to five stars, and the record turns those ratings into a Standing from 0 to 100: weighted by each rater’s own record, held for a day and a half, and frozen when a raid is detected. Nobody edits the number, and nobody can buy it.
A Standing is not a fact about anyone. It is what the public thinks of someone, measured carefully and labelled as opinion, with a place for the person to answer. Use it as a starting point, not a final word.
How it works
- Find someone. Search a name, or paste a link to any of their accounts. If they are not on the register yet, the link adds them.
- Rate them. One to five stars, with a few words if you want. Journalists, commentators, politicians and outlets also get accuracy and lean.
- Their Standing. Once 20 people have rated them, the record shows a Standing from 0 to 100. Before that it says how many ratings it has.
Who is on the record
Creators, journalists, commentators and public figures come first. News outlets, forums and sites are on the register too, filed as organisations, with a lean line and accuracy; they never lead a page.
Fair to the people on it
- No number until a record has 20 ratings.
- Every rating is public under its rater’s username, and weighted by the rater’s own record.
- Controversies are labelled as allegations from the public, marked credible or doubtful by established accounts.
- Anyone on the record can claim it for free and respond. Claiming never changes the Standing.
- Open method: see the methodology, and complaints go to the grievance officer.
- No AI-written ratings. AI is used only to catch spam and abuse.
- Free for everyone, with a free API.
