Raise a grievance

Internet Standing publishes ratings that the public gives creators, journalists, public figures and outlets, and the controversies people raise about them. Those ratings are opinion, and they are sometimes about people who would rather not be rated. This page is how you object.

Who to contact

A named Grievance Officer has not yet been appointed. Until one is, grievances are read and actioned by the operator of this site, to the same deadlines set out below, at grievance@web-jury.com. We would rather say this plainly than print a name that is not real.

What to send

So that we can act rather than write back asking, please include: a link to the exact page or rating, what specifically is wrong with it, and how to reach you. If you are writing on someone's behalf, say whose.

The deadlines we work to

These are the timings set by India's Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as amended by the Amendment Rules, 2026, in force from 20 February 2026. We apply them to everyone, not only to complainants in India.

What we will and will not do

We will remove content that is unlawful, that breaks our community guidelines, or that a court or an authorised agency orders us to remove.

We will not remove a rating, or change a Standing, because its subject disagrees with it. A Standing is the opinion of the people who rated, computed by a published formula, and a platform that deleted opinions on request would not be a record of anything. If you are the subject, you can claim your record, answer controversies on it publicly and reply to the people who rated you, which we think answers the complaint better than a deletion would.
